IDEAlISM: Interactions between Dynamic Effects and Alternative-Based Inferences in the Study of Meaning

IDEAlISM is a three-year project in theoretical and experimental semantics-pragmatics, investigating the interaction between dynamic effects and alternative-based inferences, across spoken and signed languages, as well as gestures. The project is funded by the AHRC and the DFG bilateral agreement. To find out more about the project see our page About. We are a group of researchers across Germany, the UK, and Norway, at the University of Göttingen, Goethe University Frankfurt, University College London, and the University of Bergen. Read more about our team, as well as our advisory board, in the Team page. Read about our related project on Alternatives here. We will be hiring a postdoctoral researcher, based between London and Frankfurt, and a PhD student based in Göttingen. Calls coming soon!
